Warm Welcome to Cost Frugal Mom

I sit here on my cozy couch 20 weeks pregnant on the precipice of several life changes. The time is 3:33 am EST, and our baby wriggling around preventing sleep. I just accepted a new job position this last week, and quit my previous job yesterday. Money is at the top of my mind right now, along with how to juggle all the stress of being pregnant and switching jobs. What if the new job doesn’t pan out? I doubt there will be time for me to get hired into a new position before the baby comes. My New Year goal was to be more decisive with my choices. I know for both my physical and mental health, I’ve made the right decision to switch gigs. Now I must support and uphold my position by making sure money is flowing into our pockets and not out.

With the temporary loss of health insurance as I transition positions, and start to juggle new financial additions like coming off family phone plans and combining car insurance, there is a lot of chaos when it comes to making it on your own. I’ve started a checklist and a way to dive deep into the finances to help make sense of everything and to make it less daunting.

This blog will be dedicated to all moms – working or staying at home, looking at their finances, and wondering how can we be better at keeping money in our hands to pass on to our children when they arrive. My thoughts will aim towards saving money you earned, along with how you can support that income with other passive opportunities.

I appreciate you following me on this journey to understanding the wealth of money and family ties. Please feel free to reach out if you have thoughts or additional topics you would like me to cover moving forward. I look forward to meeting you all on the next step of life.
